2024 Strings Play-In, Master Class and Talk (with lunch) with Dr. Christensen

SAC is proud to hold this special Strings Event featuring a Play-In, which is always a wonderful event for your students to partake in, as well as a Talk and a Master Class led by Brandon Christensen, D.M.A.

Dr. Christensen, a native of Boulder, returned to Colorado in recent years to found his studio after a 17-year career as a college violin professor. During that time, Dr. Christensen also taught throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and served as the director of pre-college programs in the United States and China. During this event, Dr. Christensen will give a talk about his journey and the joy he experienced returning to Colorado to run his own studio in Durango. He will also share the lessons he has learned and continues to learn as a teacher to young, pre-collegiate students.  His article, Leaving the Ivory Tower--an Ode to Joy, appeared in a recent edition of the American Suzuki Journal (vol. 51, no. 4.) A tentative schedule for the day looks like: Play-In (10am to 11:30am), Talk with Lunch (11:30pm-1pm), and Master Class (1:30pm to 4pm.). Master Class students must be in book 4 or above.
