Vice President

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is an Officers of the Association and shall be elected by the Board of Directors 

  • Attend all meetings

  • Act as the Parliamentarian for all Board Meetings

  • Understand the responsibilities of the board chair and be able to perform these duties in the chair’s absence

  • Preside at meetings in the absence of the President, act in case of necessary absence or disability and until a successor is elected and qualified, exercise the powers and perform the duties of the President

  • Serve on the Executive Committee if one exists

  • Carry out special assignments as requested by the board chair

  • Act as the chairperson of the nominating committee and secure and nominate board candidates for replacing outgoing members each spring

  • Act as the ex-officio member of any committees assigned by the President.

  • Support the President in their duties

  • Review Board positions and create new positions as needed

  • Write and update Board position descriptions

  • Serve as chairperson for Nominations Committee

  • Post Board openings in a timely fashion

  • Recruit new board members

  • Secure and nominate board candidates for replacing outgoing members each spring    

  • Assist with coordinating and attend all special events

  • Marketing for special events (calling members and posting shoutouts on wix)

  • Officers are elected by the membership of SAC and serve (2) year terms. 

  • All officers, except the Presidency, may hold a second office

  • Officers include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian
